تحديد السنة لعدد مفاصل الانسان
روى الإمام مسلم عن عبد الله بن فروخ، أنه سمع عائشة تقول: إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: إنه خلق كل إنسان من بني آدم على ستين وثلاثمائة مفصل. فمن كبر الله، وحمد الله، وهلل الله، وسبح الله، واستغفر الله، وعزل حجرا عن طريق الناس، أو شوكة أو عظما من طريق الناس، وأمر بمعروف، أو نهى عن منكر، عدد تلك الستين والثلاثمائة السلامى، فإنه يمشى يومئذ وقد زحزح نفسه عن النار

أخبر النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام المسلمين قبل أربعة عشرة قرنا عن العدد الدقيق لمفاصل الانسان وحدده ب 360 كما جاء في الحديث الصحيح.
وقد اقترح علماء التشريح اعداد مختلفة لعدد مفاصل الانسان طيلة القرون الماضية ولم يستقروا على العدد الذي حددته السنة النبوية الا مؤخرا باستخدام التصوير الضوئي الدقيق ومع تطور علم التشريح فمن أخبر النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام بهذا العدد الدقيق الذي قرنه بعبادة الذكر وترك الرقم ليشهد بنبوته للمسلمين المتأخرين.
فحتى الى عام 1995 كان الاعتقاد السائد ان عدد المفاصل في الانسان هي 340 مفصل ولكن في ذات العام تم اكتشاف 10 مفاصل داخل أذن الانسان وبما ان كل انسان يمتلك اذنان فأن عدد المفاصل فيهما مجتمعتين هما 20 مفصل ومنه يصبح عدد المفاصل في جسم الانسان 360 مفصل كما جاء في السنة
